Pattie – I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved Joe and I love hearing all your stories of the two of you. You and the family took such good care of him in the last years, and as hard as it was you all did with love and grace. I hope you have peace in knowing what a great wife you were and how much Joe was loved by all. Love you so much and know I’m always here for you. Hugs…..

Joe, you were the one who made me who I am today. Watching you as you worked instilled behaviors in me in which I thought I would never see. You took three new boys into your life and treated us as we were your own. That is something I am grateful for. You were the guidance to me as I grew up. Patient as I learned how to drive and how you would let me drive to the bus depot to catch my bus to go to work. I am honored to have you as a father in my life and I will miss you more than anything in this world. Please watch over mom (Pattie) as she is a strong woman but still needs your guidance. It was strange walking into the house this time and not hearing you say “Who invited you over” Love you with all my heart and miss you.

“Papa Joe ” was what I called him. He was a great representation of a grandfather since I unfortunately never grew up with a grandfather, he made me feel special like that. I will always remember wonderful fun, but crazy summers at your house every year. With no hesitation we lived with Pattie and Joe the majority of the summers, while Dad had to work in HK. Again thank you for your services, your jokes, coupons (original Extreme Couponers btw) and of course that sweet smells of your pipe will always forever be with all of us from the Celano to the Medrano’s. Rest in “pipe” Paradise Papa Joe …..
Till we meet again please give my mom my love ?
    Love you all!!!
    Meggie
