   Uncle Gene,
   My fondest memories in life were from your visit’s to grandma and grandpa’s house in Catoosa. Although you guys were so far away, Grandma Wilma and Grandpa Bill always told us stories about you growing up. I always felt closer to you because of this. Grandma and grandpa were so proud of you for your accomplishments in life as were your brothers. You were highly regarded in Oklahoma by All that knew you. Rest in peace Uncle Gene we love you.
   P.S. give grandma and grandpa a big hug for me.

      I didn’t get to know my uncle Gene but I also remember grandma and talking about her boys and looking at pictures of them as well as mailing letters and packages. I always knew Gene was my uncle, that he was my family. Godspeed Uncle Gene.
